The recommended book to read before entering the doors to the 2023 Boutique Hotel Owners Conference by BLLA is, "The Creative Act: A Way of Being" by Rick Rubin. We believe boutique hoteliers are artisans and thus, we thought this book would be an incredible lead-in to our gathering. The publisher, Penguin Random House, describes the book as such:"From the legendary music producer, a master at helping people connect with the wellsprings of their creativity, comes a beautifully crafted book many years in the making that offers that same deep wisdom to all of us.'I set out to write a book about what to do to make a great work of art. Instead, it revealed itself to be a book on how to be.' —Rick RubinMany famed music producers are known for a particular sound that has its day. Rick Rubin is known for something else: creating a space where artists of all different genres and traditions can home in on who they really are and what they really offer. He has made a practice of helping people transcend their self-imposed expectations in order to reconnect with a state of innocence from which the surprising becomes inevitable. Over the years, as he has thought deeply about where creativity comes from and where it doesn’t, he has learned that being an artist isn’t about your specific output, it’s about your relationship to the world. Creativity has a place in everyone’s life, and everyone can make that place larger. In fact, there are few more important responsibilities. The Creative Act is a beautiful and generous course of study that illuminates the path of the artist as a road we all can follow. It distills the wisdom gleaned from a lifetime’s work into a luminous reading experience that puts the power to create moments—and lifetimes—of exhilaration and transcendence within closer reach for all of us."We look forward to welcoming our community in just two weeks!#boutiquehotels #hoteliers #hospitalityindustry #entreprenuers #thecreativeact #hotelinnovation #independenthotels

𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐍𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄: 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧For good reason, Nashville is renowned as the Music City. But it’s not just music that makes the city famous. Whether you’re a foodie, a history lover, or simply searching for a fun vacation getaway, Nashville has something for everyone. In addition, Nashville’s cheapest motels are one of the most notable features in TN and Tennessee, as well as pet-friendly motels in Nashville, IL.How Much Are Motels in Nashville? If you want to visit Nashville on a budget, you’ll be glad to hear that you can locate motels for as little as $70. Of course, facilities, star ratings, and even the time of year you visit all influence the pricing. Nevertheless, motel rates may reach $85 at the most. In addition, staying in Nashville for a short period of time is an efficient strategy to save on motel expenses. When you shorten your trip to a few days, you don’t have to worry about motel expenses as much because you won’t be staying for as many nights. Apparently, three to four nights at Nashville’s inexpensive motels should be enough. However, that is usually plenty to appreciate the city’s main attractions.𝐈𝐬 𝐈𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐨𝐰?There aren’t any hotels “downtown” that you may want to avoid. How progressive is placemaking? This question is going to become more critical as placemaking gathers pace. You can gauge placemaking’s popularity by the increasing use of it in circles beyond the built environment.Already, the definition has broadened – it’s no longer solely to do with public spaces.Nor is it the preserve of professionals. There are growing examples of residents regenerating areas for communities on their own initiatives.Where next for placemaking? We want to help shape its future at Pattern Festival 2024. This is a boutique placemaking event taking place in Central Manchester next month.Make sure you get your voice heard.Pattern Festival 2024 is on 19 June at x+why, Victoria Embankment, Manchester. There are a limited number of tickets available. You can book here:https://patternfest.com/
