Eternity TTRPG Paladin (2024)

Those who defend the light. Champions of the battlefield, and a beacon of righteousness. They seek to liberate the oppressed and ease burdens from the weak.

Eternity TTRPG Paladin (1)

A righteous upholder of the Eternals and their individual wills – especially those of the fallen Hy-Rasyl and Rhaoko, the Eternal of redemption. The Paladin mixes the arts of the blade, healing, and defensive Spells.

It is the genuine desire of the Paladin to be devoted to the Eternal who has called him to his order. In this devotion, the Paladin is the upholder of the Eternal who called him, forevermore. The only known Eternal to have called Paladins to lives of devotion in recent times is Rhaoko.

A Paladin cannot be called to service without being given the calling by an Eternal. Though one may attempt to gain the powers of a Paladin with training alone, the true fruits cannot come, and the true power cannot be attained without inward revelation from an Eternal.

For defending, "Light Aura" and "Crystal Aegis" can provide you with total damage immunity, while "Holy Blaze" allows you to effectively taunt enemies. Meanwhile, "Peacekeeper," "Light's Wrath," and "God Save the Queen" provide you with a wide array of healing effects for various situations. "Judgment" gives you the option to attack while healing allies, and "Reckoning" is a powerful Ability to hammer foes.

Finally, "Heart of Light" boosts the power of numerous paladin effects, and "Resonance" gives you a continual way to dispel enemy buffs, or ally debuffs, to keep the tide of battle in your favor.

Paladin Lore

Leader of the Forsaken Sanctum, Ondscioth was classically trained as a Paladin in the High Temple of Hy-Rasyl – the most strict and finest Paladin study in Altius. There he was taught about Hy-Rasyl’s ideals and path to holiness. Self-sacrifice, love, compassion, strength, honor, divinity.

Many have likened Ondscioth as the human version of Saint Ranroth. Both excelled in their education. Quick of mind, excellent with magic, powerful with their swords, capable in the healing arts, ambitious, respected. Both lacked a connection with any of the divine elements, focusing on their tasks and talents instead of their hearts.

Now, Ondscioth scoffs at the “ideals” of Hy-Rasyl and berates those who follow a “dead god." He hates the dark arts and seeks to kill anyone practicing black magic. He is merciless and without compassion. He is elitist to the core but is strongly proud of his Paladin army. He believes their mission to be paramount to the ethical purging of Altius.
